Makabis Yousefpour, DPM
For nearly two decades, Makabis Yousefpour, DPM has provided his patients with podiatric care, while having a strong focus on wound care, limb salvage, fungal nail treatment, and major surgery. Additionally, Dr. Yousefpour offers treatment options others in his field do not—such as Swift: a cutting-edge, FDA-cleared treatment for plantar warts.
At the core of Dr. Yousefpour’s exceptional brand of podiatry is his vast experience and genuine desire to help others, which all started with his post-secondary education. Dr. Yousefpour attended the New York College Of Podiatric Medicine achieving his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) in 2005, and completing a surgical residency at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Queens, NY before moving to California to begin his career.
Dr. Yousefpour is affiliated with several hospitals in Los Angeles County including Los Angeles Community Hospital, Community Hospital Of Huntington Park, and LA Downtown Medical Center. He has been certified by, and achieved the prestigious Diplomate status from the American Board of Lower Extremity Surgery (ABLES).
Being fluent in both English and Farsi, Dr. Yousefpour proudly welcomes all patients in the Southern California region.
Jonathan Tavakoli, DPM
Omega Podiatry is exceptionally pleased to have Jonathan Tavakoli, DPM as a key member of its staff, offering general podiatric care and specialties in Achilles Tendon Rupture, corns, and foot and ankle surgery.
Dr. Tavakoli began his undergraduate studies in California, graduating from the University of California Santa Barbara in Goleta before graduating with honors at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, PA and then completing his Surgical Residency Program at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center in Englewood, NJ.
With California holding a special place in his heart, Dr. Tavakoli returned to serve the Los Angeles community he loves with the highest level of professionalism, compassion, and expertise.
Robert P. Binder, DPM
Robert P. Binder, DPM has extensive experience in general foot care and minor forefoot surgery . He is dedicated to proving excellence in patient care and has been serving the Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley community for over 38 years.
Dr. Binder is a graduate of the Michigan State University in East Lansing Michigan and received his medical degree from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco. (The school is now associated with the California School of Podiatric Medicine at the Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California.) He completed his Podiatric Surgical training in Michigan.
Some of Dr. Binder’s areas of interest include a wide array of foot and ankle problems including diabetic foot care, ingrown toenails, plantar fasciitis, heel pain, nerve pain and conditions of the elderly. Dr. Binder focuses on a conservative approach whenever possible. Pain can greatly affect the patient’s quality of life and we understand this. We care for people, not just feet.
Dr. Binder is affiliated with Providence Holy Cross Medical Center Hospital and the San Fernando Valley Surgery Center in Mission Hills, California.
Dr. Binder is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the California Podiatric Medical Association and the Los Angeles County Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. Binder was raised in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan where he met his wife of 40+ years while in high school. They have 2 grown children.
